Lightspeed China backs air purifier startup; Basecare Medical Device raises $14m series B

Airburg has secured the largest funding round in the air purifier industry from Lightspeed China Partners and Zhen Fund. Basecare Medical Device received $14 million in series B from unnamed investors.

Lightspeed China backs air purifier startup

Chinese air purifier manufacturer Airburg has secured tens of millions dollars in the latest funding round led by Lightspeed China Partners.

Chinese media reported Zhen Fund also joined the round, which is believed to be the largest investment in the air purifier industry.

Airburg was founded in 2014 and raised RMB11 million ($1.7 million) from angel investors in the same year.

It has developed several unique air purifiers that circulate the fresh air from outside and take away dirty air in building. The latest funding will be used to develop air purifiers for corporates and in-car air purifiers as well as expand the team.
